The Central Goldfields L2P Program is back on the road after securing a new vehicle last week.

After being non-operational for the past three to four months due to having no vehicle available, the L2P Program is now set to hit the road once more after the former CancerCare car was donated through Bendigo Bank’s Maryborough Branch and Avoca Community Bank to the program.

The L2P Program is designed to assist learner drivers to clock up their 120 hours with a volunteer supervising driver from the community.

The program is aimed at young drivers who might not have a qualified driver available to supervise them while driving.

L2P Program co-ordinator, Audrey Bartlett, picked up the Toyota Camry on Friday.

“It’s very exciting. We haven’t had a car for a couple of months. We have so many kids waiting to get on the road. It will be booked out, I can guarantee it,” Audrey said.
