The Victorian Government’s Small Business Bus is set to make its way to Maryborough later this month, with local business owners and those interested in starting their own business encouraged to capitalise on the service.
The service will be near Phillips Gardens, Maryborough on Monday, July 22 from 10 am until 4 pm.
On board the bus will be business advisors from the Monarch Institute to help people start or build their small business through confidential, 45-minute sessions that are free of charge and offer tailored advice.
Member for Ripon Martha Haylett encouraged business owners to make the most of the service.
“The Victorian Government’s Small Business Bus is a very practical way we can help people to get expert information and advice — all without leaving their local area,” she said.
“I encourage local business owners, or those thinking about starting a business in Maryborough or surrounding communities, to take advantage of this great service.”
Business advisors on board the bus can support residents and business owners to:
• Identify your immediate and long-term needs and assess the impacts to your place of business, equipment, and assets.
• Access support services including local crisis support services and mental health support.
• Build your business skills, access digital tools and connect you with programs that can help you build your business with confidence.
Residents and business owners wanting to pick up information can drop in to the bus, however anyone wanting a 45-minute consultation with a business advisor is encouraged to book online at business.vic.gov.au/learning-and-advice/workshops-and-small-business-bus/view?id=E25078.
