Avoca came out victors in the battle of the winless teams which leaves Campbells Creek as the only team yet to win a game for the 2024 season.

It did not look too promising for the Bulldogs when they once again failed in the opening term to see Campbells Creek lead by two goals at the quarter time break.

However, after a stern talking to by Bulldogs coach Zack Lubeek, the visitors lifted their game to post six goals in the second term and they had the upper hand for the remainder of the game.

It wasn’t all one way though as the Creekers did kick their highest score of the season which will give them something to lift their spirits about and kicked seven goals for the second time this season.

Avoca coach Lubeek led the way for the Bulldogs kicking five goals, and others to play well were Calyton Winter, Sean Moyle, Hugh Bucknall, Brayden Northern and Byron Wynd.

Creek’s main avenue to goal was Joel Wootton who slotted five for the game, and others to play well were Nick O’Brien, Kyle Gellatly, James Martinovic, Hadley Bassett, and Justin Allison.
