CARISBROOK (92) def CAMPBELLS CREEK (29)

It was a goalfeast for Carisbrook on Saturday, as their A grade netball team now requires just one more win to go through the season undefeated.

The Redbacks did not let up throughout the entire afternoon, scoring no less than 20 goals in any quarter, including a big last quarter which yielded 29 goals.

The Redbacks got off to a good start, scoring 20 goals in the first term to eight to take a 12-goal advantage.

They put the foot down in the second quarter, scoring 23 goals to five to extend their lead to 30 goals at the main break.

Campbells Creek, to their credit, continued to fight very hard, and did well to restrict the damage in the third term, scoring 10 goals, while Carisbrook were able to score 20, leaving the Redbacks 40 goals in front at the final change.

It was the last quarter where the Redbacks well and truly got off the chain, with their 29-goal haul also matched in defence, holding the Magpies to just six goals.

Andrea Schafer scored 56 goals for the afternoon, joined by Paige McLean, who scored 36.

For Campbells Creek, who will need to beat fifth-placed Trentham to avoid the wooden spoon, Lillie Wrigley scored 19 goals to lead the way.
