Carisbrook were clearly the dominant team at Deledio Reserve on Saturday when they defeated the Eagles by 70 points.

The opening term was the back breaker for the Eagles as Carisbrook kept them scoreless while kicking five goals to lead by 32 points at quarter time.

Dunolly’s second quarter was their best of the afternoon, as they added four goals, but the Redbacks added four of their own to keep themselves 33 points up at the main break.

A further four goals to two in the third quarter saw Carisbrook extend their lead to 47 points at the final change, before careering away with a six-goal to two final term to eventually get their big win.

Leading MCDFNL goal kicker Anthony Zelencich continued his prowess around the goal mouth by adding another five goals to his tally.

Carisbrook named their better players as Adam Hurse, Andrew Toan, Jackson Bowen, Zak Rinaldi, Cohen Leech and Blake Matthews.

Dunolly’s best was Nathan Murphy, Mitchell Goodwin, Jake Willcocks, Joshua Goodman, Mitch Walsh and Riley Murphy, with Seth Galvin and Lloyd Needs the only multiple goal scorers with two goals each.
