Carisbrook will be seeking their second victory of the season when they travel to CE Brown Reserve to face Lake Wendouree.
The Lady Redbacks will be hoping to secure their first win against the Lakers, who have previously taken both of their wins this season in their two meetings.
In round two, the two clubs met for the first time at the very ground the teams meet on this weekend, with Carisbrook well in the game throughout the first three quarters.
They kicked the opening goal through Tiani Jardine, but it was all Lake Wendouree from there, and although the margin was still just 14 points at the final change, the Lakers kicked four goals in the final term to ensure they would take a 44-point win.
The return meeting was in round seven, and it was the Lakers who got off to a good start, kicking two goals in the first term to lead by 13 points.
Just one goal between the second and third quarters saw the Lakers lead by 24 points at the final change, before another two goals saw the Lakers win by 36 points, holding Carisbrook to just one behind for the day.
Carisbrook will be hoping to bounce back from a 63-point loss to East Point last week, having kicked two behinds for the day against a Dragons side intent on taking a big win.
Olivia Butler was a standout against the tide for the Lady Redbacks, while Anika Munn, Jardine, Julianne Baldock, Deanne Evans and Danae Every were also named in the best.
Meantime, the under 16s will have a difficult task when they travel to the second-placed Storm at Alfredton Recreation Reserve, still seeking their first victory of the season.
Last week, the Lady Redbacks were held scoreless by a well-drilled Ballarat Swans team who were able to kick three goals in the first and third quarters on their way to a 65-point victory.
Chloe Wyatt was named Carisbrook’s best player, while Olivia Rogers, Georgina Bates, Tamika Loone-Grundy, Emme Johnson and Imogen Raats were also named in the best.
