The Carisbrook Classic Country Day Out has been hailed a success, with over 100 residents catching country fever at the Maryborough Harness Racing Club.
Attendants were treated with performances from Robyn Gleeson, Joe Musico and Brendan Scott as well as food and beverages.
H&D Promotions co-founder and event organiser David Hoffman said the event was enjoyed by all.
“I think that everybody that attended had a great time — we didn’t get one complaint on the night and we had a lot of people ask when it is coming back and when we can do this again.
“The president of the Harness Racing Club Colin Phillis attended on the Friday night and he was telling us that these events are exactly what they need.
“It is always wonderful seeing everybody have a great time, the performers get a kick out of it when you see people dancing and enjoy themselves.”
While the dust has settled on the inaugural event, Mr Hoffman said the country-based festival group plans to bring the event back bigger and better.
“We are certainly looking at having one next year and the racing club are on board with that, they were very happy on their side of things and we are very happy as well,” he said.
“They have got a big great building sitting at the venue and we hope it continues to be utilised.”
