Robert Jackson’s tireless work, both with the Talbot Yabbies Bowling Club and also the Goldfields Playing Area, has been rewarded with life membership to the Bendigo Campaspe Goldfields Bowls Region, awarded by president Vicky Tierney.
Jackson has been instrumental in the running of the Goldfields Playing Area for many years, including setting up this year’s Charity Round, which has seen bowlers gather at one venue for the first time.
As a bowler, Jackson is still playing at a very high level for Talbot, with the Yabbies making a Saturday pennant grand final in division two, a preliminary final in division one and also the midweek preliminary final across the 2023/24 season.
