Melbourne Country Week for the Maryborough District Cricket Association began yesterday with a game against Ballarat in Ballarat.

The team will be competing in four games in their first campaign in Melbourne since 2008, with games against Sunraysia in Greenvale today, followed by games against Kingston Hawks under 18s at Windy Hill tomorrow, and a clash with South West on Thursday.

Should the MDCA make the final four, they will play off in one of the two finals, either the grand final at Albert Park, or the third-place playoff at Hoppers Crossing, on Friday.

Keep an eye out for senior Country Week coverage in Friday’s edition of The Advertiser.
