Natte Bealiba used a devastating second quarter to take control of their meeting with Maryborough Rovers, taking a 38-goal victory.

It was a thrilling opening term at Princes Park, with Rovers taking the fight right up to Natte in the early stages. Rovers were able to score 14 goals, while holding Natte to 12, taking a narrow quarter time lead as a result.

But the second quarter saw Natte stung into action, and they turned the wick up. They scored 24 goals, while holding Rovers to just one, as they dominated all aspects of play, turning their two-goal quarter time deficit into a comfortable 21-goal half time lead.

A shellshocked Rovers were much stronger in the third quarter, scoring six goals, but it wasn’t enough to close the margin, with the Swans adding another 14 to extend the lead to 29 at the final break.

The Swans continued to run out the game well, scoring another 19 goals to finish off the game, while Rovers scored 10 in their strongest return since the opening quarter.

The 69-31 result sees the Swans maintain top spot on the ladder, holding out Carisbrook by just over eight percent.

Emma Ryan dominated proceedings once again for the Swans, adding to her 57 goals last week by scoring another 56, while Shannae Mills added 10.

For Rovers, Abbey Raven led the way with 24 goals.
