A Dunolly man was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries on Monday evening following a two-car collision at Tourello, near Clunes.
Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the collision which occurred at around 5.35 pm on the Ballarat-Maryborough Road, near the intersection with Glendonald Road.
The driver of one of the vehicles, a 20-year-old man from Dunolly, was airlifted to hospital.
The driver of the other vehicle, a 24-year-old Black Hill man, was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
He remained at the scene and is currently assisting police with their enquiries.
As of Thursday morning, The Alfred confirmed the Dunolly man remains in a critical condition.
