The fate of the amalgamation talks between Mary-borough Rovers and Royal Park football netball clubs will be decided tonight at 6 pm, with member votes to be held independently at Jubilee Oval and Hedges Oval.
Eligible voters who are financial members have been notified of their ability to vote.
The process has been ongoing since both clubs released their intention to form a working party regarding the amalgamation of both clubs since March 17, with both clubs in discussions through-out the early stages of the year.
Discussions to generate ideas for names and colours for the potential new club will also take place, according to information from Royal Park’s Facebook group.
The Maryborough Giants was one of the names suggested and favoured for the amalgamated side, although that has not yet been confirmed.
Both clubs will continue on with their seasons tomorrow, with Rovers playing Maldon at Bill Woodfull Reserve, while Royal Park will travel to Talbot to play the Hawks.
