The collection includes Arthur Boyd’s painting River Flats, one of many works relating to his time at the Bundanon property and gifted to the Australian people in 1993; Judy Hooworth’s textile work Creek Drawing #16, winner of the 2017 Golden Textiles Exhibition Award at the Gallery; Ray Crooke, an artist admired for his ability to catch the light so characteristic of tropics and the atmosphere of Pacific Island communities, and his painting, Conversation; Central Victorian artist Juliana Hilton’s work Room with Pink Cupboard, in which we gain multiple views from the domestic space into her verdant garden; and Noel Tunk’s painting Untitled Landscape, inspired by the landscape around Avoca in Central Victoria where he lived.
In two new virtual exhibitions, audiences can enjoy Victoria’s Central Goldfields region of Dja Dja Wurrung Country and textiles from the Golden Textures Award Exhibition, matched with insights from their creators.
