Agricultural Shows are a great way for visitors to the area to truly experience the best the country has to offer.

Organisers of both the Beaufort and Clunes agricultural shows are thrilled their events are back on the calendar this spring.

Jenny Redpath is the president of the Clunes Show. As a member of a large, local farming family dating back generations, she knows how important the Show is to locals and visitors alike.

“The benefits to the community of running the Show are far more than just economic,” Jenny said.

“The event brings loved ones together, as those who have left Clunes return to visit family and friends on Show weekend.

“People love the atmosphere of the Show, there is something for everyone. A special feature this year is the Header Simulator and an interactive Strongman (person) Exhibition.”

Helen Kirkpatrick is on the organising committee for the Beaufort Show. While looking forward to the local community celebrating, she hopes visitors to the area will take the time to drop in.

“It is a great opportunity for a family fun day out,” Helen said.

“While you are holidaying in the country, take the time to make connections with the local community – go to an agricultural show – you will be pleased you did.”
