HARCOURT 31.11 (197) def CAMPBELLS CREEK 3.2 (20)
The Castlemaine Derby was a one-sided game as the unde-feated Harcourt won by a massive 177 points at the home of the Lions on Saturday.
A 10-goal opening term to just two behinds was a clear indicator of what lay ahead for the remainder of the game.
Another ten goals in the second quarter showed that the Lions were far superior to the Creekers, although they did manage to post three goals in the second quarter through Joel Wootton, Cody Wilson, and Tyrone Holburn.
But the Creekers would not score again in the second half, but they were competitive in defence in the third term holding the Lions to just three goals for the term, however, the Lions kicked away again in the final quarter to win very com-fortably.
Braydon Vaz was the key goal scorer with eight goals and captain Tom Walters also slotted six goals from the 14 goal scorers for the Lions.
Vaz was named as the best player for the home team, and Jordan Gartside, Lachlan Mitchell, Walters, Cameron Anderson, and Kaleb McBride also played very well.
Creek named Kyle Gellatly, Sean Moss, Justin Garipoli, James Martinovic, Mitch Stevens, and Justin Allison as their better players on the day.
