The fixture for the Carisbrook Lady Redbacks dropped on Wednesday, with the team ready to go as part of an expanded seven-team competition.

North Ballarat re-enter the league, meaning that a bye will be created throughout the season, and Carisbrook will be the first team to sit out, meaning they will have to wait until round two to get back into the swing of things.

From there, they will host a home game against Lake Wendouree in a rematch of their elimination final from 2023, before travelling to Bacchus Marsh and Redan for their next two games.

Highlights include two Indigenous Round matches against Darley in round five and East Point in round six, hosting Bacchus Marsh in round 10 for Mental Health Round, and hosting Darley in round 12 for the TAC Road Safety Round.

The Lady Redbacks will also be fielding an under 16 girls team, and much like the senior women’s team, the Lady Redbacks will have to wait until round two to get their season underway in a nine-team competition.

Like the senior team, Carisbrook’s season debut will come against Lake Wendouree in round two, and will have a good platform to attack the season with three home games in their first four games, with meetings against Darley and North Ballarat in rounds four and five.

In the meantime, Carisbrook will have a practice match on Sunday at Jubilee Oval, with a game against Belmont starting at 12.30 pm.
