Lexton bounced back after two consecutive losses to keep in touch with the top four thanks to a 23-goal win over Maldon.

The Tigers won every quarter én route to their win, taking control from the outset in the process.

A 16-goal to eight quarter gave Lexton the advantage, before fighting through Maldon’s best quarter of the day, scoring 11 goals to 10 to hold on to a nine-goal cushion at the main break.

From there, the Tigers blew the Dons away in the third quarter, scoring 17 goals while restricting Maldon to eight to extend the lead to 18 goals by the final change.

The Tigers ran out the game by scoring 11 goals, while holding the Dons to six, to get back on track.

Rachel Phelan scored 35 goals for the Tigers, with Leesa Donhardt adding 13.

For Maldon, Zoe Backway led the way with 17 goals, while Theresa Buchanan added 15.
