Lexton gained some much-needed percentage in the race for the double chance with a strong 47-goal victory over Campbells Creek on Saturday.
It was a much-needed boost for the Tigers as they maintained their outside chance of finishing in the top four, extending their percentage to 141 to sit seven per cent behind third-placed Carisbrook, and six per cent behind fourth-placed Harcourt.
The Tigers got off to a strong start thanks to a 20-goal to nine effort in the first quarter, and extended it in to 26 goals by half time thanks to a 23-goal to eight second stanza.
Campbells Creek enjoyed a much more competitive third quarter, scoring 10 goals, but they could not stop Lexton from scoring 17 more to extend their lead to 33 goals by the final change.
Lexton finished off the game by scoring 21 goals to seven to ensure they would boost their percentage.
Rachel Phelan was dominant for Lexton, scoring 51 goals for the afternoon, and she was well supported by Kimberley Roberts and Julia Parkin.
For Campbells Creek, Kasey Button with her 19 goals was a strong performer, as was Jemma Finning.
