The Mill House is currently offering a wide range of volunteering opportunities for those looking to get more involved with, and put back into, the community.
Mill House coordinator, Michelle Baker, said her team has worked hard to create a supportive and stimulating environment for those seeking vocational training and experience as well as opportunities to develop artistic, leisure and creative abilities.
In recent times, Mill House has initiated the Friday Feast which brings together and connects people from all walks of life over a free meal.
“We are also partnering with the Central Goldfields Shire Council in presenting the Pride Festival early in 2023,” Ms Baker said.
“We have been extremely fortunate over the years to attract excellent volunteers who have enabled us to offer programs and meet the learning and interest needs of our community.
“But at the moment, we need more volunteer support to assist us in delivering programs in hospitality, cleaning, maintenance, gardening, one on one computer and mobile phone support, helping community, running the Mill House market every second Thursday for a few hours, helping with serving food and clean up at Friday Feast and meal prep for Rotary dinners and Friends With Food on Thursday mornings.”
Ms Baker said volunteering at the Mill House is rewarding and doesn’t necessarily require any experience or qualifications.
