Football and netball will return to Princes Park for all four weeks of MCDFNL finals in 2024.

The qualifying and elimination finals will be a departure from last season, where games were played at Castlemaine’s Camp Reserve and Newstead Recreation Reserve, with finals returning to Princes Park in the opening week of the finals campaign.

It’s the fourth season in succession where the finals venues have changed, with 2019 seeing finals played at Princes Park and Hedges Oval, while 2022 saw finals played at Avoca and Princes Park.

For the first time since 2015, Carisbrook will host finals in the first week, with the club rewarded with their new facilities and netball courts with two finals.

The remainder of the finals from week two onwards will be played at Princes Park.

There are three rounds remaining in the 2024 home-and-away season, with finals due to start on August 24.
