The midweek pennant returned on Tuesday, with the higher ranked teams taking all four wins on offer.
Talbot cleared away from the chasing pack courtesy of a 76-39 victory over Carisbrook.
The win means they now sit 26 points clear of Maryborough Golf in third, while they remain 37 points in arrears of Dunolly Blue for the double chance.
Barb Crossley took a 20-14 win over Leonie Briggs, while Ray Prentice defeated Judy Cassidy 29-10. Robert Jackson finished off the job with a 27-15 win over Patricia Stancombe as Talbot took all points on offer.
Highland Tartan continue to lead the way on top of the table, and were able to take a comfortable 88-49 win over Maryborough Golf.
It wasn’t entirely all smooth sailing, as Golf were able to take a rink courtesy of Kort Gay’s 28-23 win over Michael Fryar. But Tartan dominated the other two rinks, with Greg Shay defeating Harold Patullo 34-10 and Andrew Brumby defeating Liz Bucknall 31-11.
The upshot for Golf is despite the loss, their rink win meant they moved into the top four at Avoca’s expense, albeit by only one point.
Dunolly Blue made a tiny bit of ground on the ladder leaders in a 62-43 win over Newstead.
They were desperately close to a clean sweep, but instead, they take home 15 points to close the gap to 22 points on top of the ladder.
Keith Elliott defeated Rod Hamilton 23-15, while Tony Galofaro defeated Brian Daly 20-9. The middle rink could not separate Alan Weir and David Cobden, with both teams scoring 19 shots apiece.
Highland Gold emerged as a wildcard to perhaps pinch the final place in the top four, taking an 81-52 win over Dunolly Gold which now leaves them just 14 points behind fourth-placed Maryborough Golf.
Highland Gold took all 16 points, with Paul Gothard defeating Wayne Stephens 34-12, Lowen Clarke defeating Frank Mifsud 24-22 and Dennis Prosser too strong for Fabio Delconte, winning 23-18.
Round 15 is Charity Round for the midweek pennant, with eight of the nine teams taking part, with the exception of Highland Tartan, who have the bye.
Talbot will look to continue their winning ways when they face Newstead, while a clash of top four teams sees Dunolly Blue and Maryborough Golf meet.
Dunolly Gold and Carisbrook will have a chance to move away from the bottom of the ladder, while in an important clash for top four permutations, Highland Gold meet Avoca.
