Things were close in the third term, with the Swans ekeing out the lead to two goals thanks to a 10-goal to nine quarter to lead 30-28 at the final change. Ryan scored six goals and Douglas four for Natte, while Saunder scored five goals and Carroll four for the Giants.
With the game on the line, the Swans did enough to score 10 goals to eight to increase the lead to four and take an important win in the context of their season, moving to second spot.
