NATTE BEALIBA (70) def MARYBOROUGH ROVERS (46)

Natte Bealiba remain in the frame for the minor premiership, defeating Maryborough Rovers by 24 goals.

It was an important game for both teams, with Natte looking to remain in the top two, while Rovers were seeking a win to end any questions over their finals status.

The Swans got off to the better start, scoring 17 goals to 12 in the opening term to take a five-goal lead into the first change.

It was the second quarter where the Swans really started to take charge, scoring 18 goals to 11 to turn their lead into a 12-goal break by the main change.

The third quarter sealed the game, with the Swans scoring 20 goals to 10 to ensure Rovers wouldn’t get a look in, with the lead at 22 at the final change.

Rovers were competitive in the final quarter — an important factor given their percentage — scoring 13 goals to the Swans’ 15.

Emma Ryan was dominant in the goal circle for the Swans again, scoring 52 goals, while Shannae Mills added 16.

For Rovers, Tegan Maddern led the way with 35 goals.
