Twelve unanswered goals to Natte Bealiba helped the Swans take a 59-point win over Maldon at CHS Broadbent Oval, locking up the minor premiership in the process.
A spirited start saw both teams exchange goals, with Jai Howell continuing to show he is arguably the most in-form player in the competition right now with a classy snap across the body to start the game matched by an equally classy finish from Billy Johns for Maldon.
However, that would be as good as it got for the Dons, who would soon see the Swans assume control. They would kick three more goals for the term to take a 17-point lead into the first change.
It was all Natte Bealiba in the second term, as they snatched away any hope the Dons had of making it a contest, kicking six goals to just four behinds to open the margin up to 51 points at the main break.
The Swans again dominated the third quarter, but were also peppering the goals, and despite having 11 scoring shots, they could only manage three goals for the term, while Maldon were still stuck on just one goal for the day, as it was a 76-point margin at the final change.
Maldon were desperate to save some face, and while the game was gone, they were able to string together some good football in the last term, kicking five goals to two to reduce the margin.
Howell was superb, with a third consecutive four-goal haul driving the Swans, while Bailey Jacobs, Bailey Cossar, Daniel Vadala, Jake Postle and Joshua Grant were also named in the best.
The Swans will be hoping to stamp their authority as minor premiers with a clash against the second-placed Harcourt away from home next week.
For the Dons, who are locked into an elimination final matchup with Carisbrook regardless of the result of their game against Trentham next week, Seb Greene, Noah Thompson, Darcy Kelly, Matthew Gray, Callum Buchanan and Adam Robinson were all named in the best.
