Night works to close Ballarat-Maryborough Road

Expect to be redirected if you’re driving to Ballarat at night on the Ballarat-Maryborough Road over the coming weeks, the Department of Transport has announced.
From this Sunday, May 21 to June 2 nightly road closures will be in place on the Ballarat-Maryborough Road at Miners Rest as part of the Ballarat-Maryborough Road and Western Freeway interchange upgrade.
During the two weeks the road will close between Normlyttle Parade and the Western Freeway from 7 pm to 5 am every night except Fridays and Saturdays.
The Melbourne-bound exit and entry ramps at the Western Freeway will also be closed during these times.
Motorists are urged to allow extra time for the journey and to follow the signed detours that include Ring Road, Gillies Road, Kennedys Road, the Midland Highway, the Sunraysia Highway and Miners Rest Road.
The department noted the works are weather-dependent so dates and times may change.
