Natte Bealiba were at their dominant, brutal best on Saturday afternoon as they took a 54-goal victory over Trentham.

The early stages saw the Swans take charge, and they scored 16 goals to five in the opening term to take a commanding lead. Emma Ryan scored 14 of the Swans’ 16, with Polly Douglas adding two, while for Trentham, Zahlia Turton scored three goals and Kasey Evans two.

The Swans started to motor in the second term, and scored 18 goals to six to lead 34-11 at the main break. Ryan was again dominant in the goal circle, scoring 16 goals, with Douglas scoring two, while Evans and Turton scored three apiece for the Saints.

It was the third term where the Swans took complete control, scoring 20 goals to two to turn the game into a significant percentage booster, leading 54-13 at the final change. Ryan scored 14 goals and Douglas six for the Swans, while Turton scored the Saints’ only two goals of the quarter.

The last quarter saw the Swans continue to finish full of running, scoring 20 goals to seven in the last term to eventually take their comfortable win. Ryan scored 17 goals to finish with 61 for the day, while Douglas scored three, and for Trentham, Turton scored four times to finish with 12, and Evans scored three times.

Natte Bealiba will face a big game against the unbeaten Maryborough Giants in two weeks’ time, while Trentham will have a big clash with Newstead as they look to stay inside the top eight.
