Unfortunately, Victoria’s continued rain patterns have wreaked havoc on the Maryborough District Cricket Association again, with rain washing out the fourth round of A grade, as well as the opening round of A reserve and all junior games.

It means that the T20 competition has just one round remaining, with just one game played to this point — last week’s encounter between Maryborough and Beaufort.

Colts Phelans were due to play Laanecoorie Dunolly at Hedges Oval, while Beaufort and Clunes were set to do battle at Beaufort Secondary College.

This weekend’s encounters — should they go ahead — will see a local derby between Maryborough and Colts Phelans in Princes Park’s return to cricket, while Laanecoorie Dunolly are set to host Clunes at True Blue Floors Oval.

Cricket has been all but completely washed out every weekend this season, with this October 22 match between Maryborough and Beaufort the only game to go ahead so far.
The Crows and the rest of the MDCA teams will be hoping for more play over the coming weeks.
