Carisbrook have all-but snuffed out Navarre’s hopes of making the finals with a devastating first half display allowing them to ease to a 37-goal win.
The Redbacks did not give the Hoppers an inch whatsoever during the first half, streaking away to a big lead and going on with the job throughout.
Fifteen goals to three set the standard for the game in the opening quarter, with the Redbacks dominating all facets, and they only went and extended their lead in the second term by scoring another 15 goals, while holding the Hoppers to six goals.
The Hoppers were a little bit more competitive in the third quarter, scoring six goals, but holding Carisbrook to their lowest total of the game, with 14 goals, and were again playing better in the last term, scoring seven goals. but could not stop the Redbacks from adding another 15 goals.
Andrea Schafer scored 34 goals, while Paige McLean added 25 more for Carisbrook, who also had Lauren Jones and Sherriden Byrne put in good games, while Darcy Crawford led the way in scoring for Navarre with 14 goals.
