MARYBOROUGH ROVERS (53) def CAMPBELLS CREEK (21)

Maryborough Rovers will come head-to-head with a likewise in-form Dunolly after putting Campbells Creek aside by 32 goals with a strong second-half performance.

It was an early battle for both teams at Princes Park, with Rovers scoring 12 goals and Campbells Creek scoring seven.

But the first sign of Rovers shooting clear was in the second quarter, as they scored 12 goals to six to extend their lead to 11 at the main break.

The third quarter was all Rovers as they strangled Campbells Creek’s movement from mid court into attack, holding Creek to just one goal for the quarter while scoring 12 goals themselves to extend the lead to 22 goals by the final change.

Offensively, Rovers had their strongest quarter of the day in the last, scoring 17 goals to Creek’s seven to finish off strong winners.

Abbey Raven scored 32 goals in Rovers’ win, while sister Ebony added 21. For Campbells Creek, Lillie Wrigley led the way with 15 goals.
