CAMPBELLS CREEK 1.5 (11) def by TALBOT 19.12 (126)
Talbot were too strong in their game over Campbells Creek to the tune of 115 points.
Campbells Creek kicked the first goal of the afternoon through Max Stewart, but it was all Talbot from there as they took control of the game from there onwards, kicking six goals in the opening quarter, before adding seven more as hail and heavy rain hit Campbells Creek Recreation Reserve.
The Hawks then eased to victory, kicking three goals in each of the last two quarters.
Talbot’s main avenue to goal was Matt Bond who kicked eight goals to take his tally to 16 goals for the season. Adam Scott also chipped in for four goals in the convincing victory, while Jude McGuire and Luke Kemp added two each.
The scoreline may be disappointing for Campbells Creek, but they never say die and it has to be said that they tried hard all day, with their better players being Stewart, Lachlan Hyland, Caleb May, Benjamin Carson, Joel Wootton and Michael Dettmer.
The Hawks better players were Sam Hitchings, Matthew Bond, Adam Scott, Samuel Gibson, Jude McGuire, and Matthew York.
