Trentham has rejoined the winners’ list in a big way, defeating Lexton by 117 points.

A reasonably high-scoring opening quarter kicked things off at Lexton, with Trentham kicking six goals to three in the opening stanza to open up a 20-point lead at the opening change.

However, the Saints flexed their muscle in the second quarter, kicking nine goals without response to move to a 74-point lead by the main break.

The third quarter saw the Saints kick six goals to Lexton’s two to lead by an even 100 points at the final change, and the Saints then went and extended it with a five goal to three final quarter to take the victory.

Jake Keogh and Cooper Webber-Mirkin led the way for the Saints, kicking 15 goals between them, while Alister Ferrier and Jobe Dowling kicked two goals each.

Liam Bianco, Ryan Bourke, Webber-Mirkin, Joel Cowan, Keogh and Zach Gervasoni were named the Saints best players.

Dan Wrigley, Justin Hobson, Lachlan Pryor, Cohan Poulton, Samual Dunn and Alex Briody were named Lexton’s best players, with Darren Cook their sole multiple goalkicker with three goals.
