Avoca’s best netball is devastating, with Trentham learning the hard way throughout the final three quarters of Saturday’s clash.

The loss for the Saints was made worse by the fact they now drop from fourth to sixth as a result of both Harcourt and Lexton winning.

In an excellent first quarter, both sides went goal-for-goal in what was a high quality affair, with Avoca narrowly leading 13-12 at the first change.

However, the second quarter saw the Bulldogs power away from the Saints, scoring 19 goals to eight to lead 32-20 at the main break.

The Saints tried desperately to bring themselves back into the game, scoring 13 goals in the third quarter, however, they could not stop Avoca from adding 15 goals of their own as they took a 47-33 lead into the final change.

The Bulldogs were relentless in the final stanza, putting on a clinic as they added 21 goals while restricting the Saints to just four of their own to extend their winning streak with a 68-37 victory.

Gina Beavis was Avoca’s best, scoring 35 goals, while Olivia Carlin and Lucy Walkley also provided an excellent support cast.

For the Saints, Brooke Healy, Hayley Bourke and Tegan Finch were their best players, with Elysia Rose scoring 25 goals.
