Trentham kept their top two chances alive with a comfortable victory over Talbot on Saturday when the Saints won by 55 points at home.
The Saints averaged five goals a quarter until the last term, which was the only quarter that Trentham did not win for the game, with both teams kicking 12 points as Trentham maintained the 55-point third quarter margin.
Jake Keogh was the key forward for Trentham, slotting another six goals for 61 for the season.
Trentham also won the reserves game which was the battle for top spot with both teams being undefeated beforehand.
The best players in the senior game for the Saints were Jake Keogh, Cooper Webber-Mirkin (four goals), Zach Gervasoni, Joel Cowan, Stefan Lendric and Zane French.
Talbot named Alex Marshall, Jude McGuire, Trent Barras, Mathew York, Matt Bond, and Jackson Scholten as their best players.
